It's always nice when devs add free bonus content or make expansions for sale through. Nothing wrong with games not receiving perpetual updates really as stated if it is released in a polished and finished state. These fixes are kind of minimum support all devs should provide, all devs really should be providing these type of fixes. I believe Bastion had Stranger's Dream post release but don't think they've done anything else.įrom what I can recall, post release updates for Hades have been for bug / balance fixes to existing content and not new content. Supergiant does not have a history of doing this. Original poster is referring to 'post-release' content which is new content that is introduced after the initial release (aka v1.0) and usually not part of initial dev (some devs may develop through at same time but keep aside to charge extra $$ for DLC). Supergiant released the game in a polished state with expected functionality. By 'released as a finished product' I am referring to the game exiting early access (v1.0) in a properly finished state. Users testing game as it's developed and providing active feedback (which devs may or may not take in account). uhm no this game was released as early access and was finished after about a year off updates did u even follow the game?Įarly access is basically just part of the dev cycle. ![]() The game wasn't abandoned, it was released as a finished product and received some minor patches to fix any issues. They release a finished game, and move on to their next project. Origineel geplaatst door chris.ferrantegerard:Supergiant doesn't do really DLC or game as a service module.
